Trial fit main gear mounts

Finished the nose wheel tube.  Van welded the tube insert and machined out to 1.44" dia.  Huge help.  I dropped the engine mount, nose wheel tube, main gear mount off with Marv Story.  He's going to weld the engine mount with nose wheel tube and weld shut the main gear.

I have control

Installed the flap motor and control column hardware.  Check out the pretty powder coated parts!  Those aren't new, but they sure look like it.  And primed the 3/4 angle x 1/16" replacement stringer.

The nose wheel, mains, mains-spar attach bracket and sundry accouterments are all on their way from Australia...

The kit comes from an RV-7A that was converted to tailwheel.  So it's strong enough, may be a bit over-built, but I'm good with that.  I will likely install the Anti-Splat "nose job" nose re-enforcement as I fly out of grass 90% of the time.

50/50 odds the mains bracket will have wholes aligned to my spar (very different design).  I'll bring it to my welder and have him fill them, grind them flat and match new wholes.
